Event Preparation Team Member

We are looking to add one more person to our set up team at Oak Hills Reception and Event Center in Layton, Utah.

As a member of our set up team you will have the responsibility to make sure each event we host at Oak Hills looks amazing and is ready to go before the clients and guests arrive.

Some responsibilities you would have on event days:

• Moving tables and chairs where they need to be for the event’s floor plan
• Decorating for the event (setting out linens, centerpieces, signs, name cards, etc)
• Light cleaning (taking out garbages, vacuuming, sweeping, etc)

Hours vary each week depending on how many events we are scheduled to host. We host events Thursday- Sunday, and the majority of the events we host are weddings. We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Typically Wednesdays are dedicated to preparing for the events that week.

May-October (peak season) we typically host 3-4 events per week that would fall on Thursdays-Sundays. Your hours during peak season would be roughly 15-25 hours per week.

November - April is a lot slower and we typically have 0-2 events per week during the winter months. Your hours during the winter would be roughly 0-15 hours per week.

The hours that you would be scheduled could be anywhere from 8:30am-3:30pm. Set up crew typically arrives on event days at 9:30 am and is typically finished with set up around 2pm. Some events have more set up than others, so some days are longer or shorter depending on how extensive the set up is that day.

We are flexible with schedules and we will train you, so no previous experience is needed. Starting pay is $14/hour.

• Every weekend
