What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Technician position at Oak Hollow at Sumter Rehabilitation Center, LLC?
Provides floor maintenance and related services to ensure a safe, sanitary and comfortable environment for residents, staff, visitors, and the public. EXPERIENCE AS A FLOOR TECHNICIAN IN A SKILLED NURSING FACILITY IS HIGHLY PREFERRED!
- Provides floor care (includes dust mopping, wet mopping, sanitizing, stripping and waxing) in assigned areas and throughout facility.
- Respects residents' privacy and preferences while performing duties. Knocks before entering resident rooms and bathrooms.
- Has knowledge and understanding of proper operation of all floor equipment including buffers and vacuums.
- Practices safe handling and operation of all floor equipment, ensuring a risk-free environment for patients, staff, and visitors; takes appropriate actions to secure equipment out of reach of residents at all times.
- Daily maintenance and cleaning of all floor maintenance equipment.
- Disposes of trash and waste, including bio-hazardous waste and other materials that require special handling, only in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and appropriate cleaning methods
- Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment effectively and safely
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Strong time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects as required
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and clients
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
