POSITION: Moderate Special Education Teacher/Structured Reading Certification
Begins with the 2025-2026 school year
Shrewsbury Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a Moderate Special Education Teacher with certification in Wilson or Orton-Gillingham or both. This position is ideal for someone who can assess what reading interventions are needed and then provide the services.
We are interested in candidates who are invested in the achievement, equity, and access of all learners in and beyond the classroom and have experience working in various models of special education (inclusion, co-taught, substantially separate).

The enrollment is generally 940 students in grades 7-8.

Preferred:
•Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license as a Moderate Special Education Teacher Grades 5-12 or Grades 5-8. Structured Reading Certification in Wilson or Orton-Gillingham.
•Strong knowledge of middle school student needs and programming
•Exhibits the core values of Shrewsbury Public Schools
•Works flexibly in a changing environment
