About Us:
Oak Park Early Learning Academy is a faith-based early learning childcare program that provides a faith-based, nurturing, and educational environment for children ages 0 - 12. Our mission is to support families by offering high-quality Paths to Quality Level 3 early childhood education rooted in Christian values. We seek a passionate and experienced Childcare Director to lead our team and uphold our commitment to excellence in faith-based childcare services.
Position Overview:
The Childcare Director oversees our childcare program's daily operations, staff management, and curriculum implementation. This individual will ensure compliance with state regulations, develop and maintain a positive learning environment, and foster strong relationships with staff, families, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Administration: Oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with licensing requirements, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Teaching Strategies' Curriculum Implementation: Implement and enhance an evidence-based curriculum that aligns with educational best practices, child development, and social-emotional growth.
- Staff Supervision & Development: Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of qualified teachers and caregivers, fostering a culture of excellence and spiritual leadership.
- Family Engagement: Build strong relationships with families, providing support, encouragement, engagement events, and faith-based resources.
- Financial & Budgetary Management: Assist with budgeting, tuition collection, and financial planning to ensure sustainability and growth.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines following state and local regulations.
- Community Outreach: Promote the childcare program within the local community, strengthening partnerships and increasing enrollment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education Administration, Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, or current Child Development Associates credential.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in early childhood education, preschool, or elementary education, preferably with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of childcare licensing regulations and best practices.
- A deep commitment to Christian faith and values, with the ability to integrate biblical principles into daily operations and curriculum.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Drug testing, background check, and fingerprint clearance are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in faith-based childcare settings.
- Strong administrative and financial management skills.
