The Sandwich Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and student-centered leader to serve as the next Principal of the Oak Ridge School, a grades 3-6 school of 673 students on the Upper Cape Cod of Massachusetts.This leadership position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on a thriving school community that values student achievement, collaboration, inclusion, and family/community engagement. Key Responsibilities of the Principal:
Leadership & Vision: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive educational program that is aligned with district goals and meets the diverse needs of all students, with a strong emphasis on social-emotional well-being.
Effective Communication: Communicate with all stakeholders, internally and externally, so there is ongoing awareness of school events/activities as well as celebration of student and staff successes.
Student Support: Oversee the development and delivery of a robust Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), ensuring that all students with learning differences receive programming and services so they may achieve at the highest level.
Curriculum & Instruction: Support the teaching staff and instructional coaches/interventionists in delivering high-quality instruction, with a focus on differentiated teaching strategies and engaging strategies that cater to diverse learners.
Staff Development: Foster a professional learning environment by providing regular training, feedback, and growth opportunities for staff to continuously improve teaching practices..
Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, guardians, and community members, maintaining open lines of communication regarding student progress, school initiatives, and district priorities.
Safety & Well-Being: Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all students, fostering a positive school climate and addressing any social or behavioral concerns promptly and effectively.
Collaboration: Work closely with all faculty and support staff, the District Leadership Team, the Superintendent, and the School Committee to ensure alignment with district-wide goals and initiatives.
