What are the responsibilities and job description for the Labor & Employment Associate (Attorney) position at Oak Ridge Legal Search?
We are working with an Am Law 200 firm, seeking a mid- to senior-level Labor and Employment Associate to join their Hartford or Stamford office.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience providing multi-state employment counseling to business leaders; conducting employment diligence; advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions; defending employment cases, including investigating claims, taking and defending depositions, managing the discovery process, preparing and arguing motions, including discovery, dispositive, and other motions in state and federal court; representing clients in administrative proceedings; and reviewing, advising and drafting multi-state workplace policies, employee handbooks, and related materials. Candidates must be able to manage multiple litigation and client projects efficiently and effectively and should have a demonstrated interest in building a labor and employment practice. CT Bar admission is required. Graduation from law school and practice experience required.
