What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Law Associate (Hybrid) position at Oak Ridge Legal Search?
We are working with a full-service, multi-office law firm seeking an associate with a minimum of two years of experience to join the education law practice in their Hartford or Stamford office.
The ideal candidate has experience representing public schools, independent schools, and/or colleges or universities. Experience in any of the following areas is preferred: disability matters including special education, student discipline and student rights, Title IX, investigations, labor relations including collective bargaining and grievance arbitration, employment counseling, Board governance, non-discrimination issues, student accommodations, and non-profit governance. Strong counseling skills and exceptional presentation skills are required, as are top academic credentials, and excellent written and interpersonal skills. CT bar admission required. MA bar admission is a plus.Graduation from law school and practice experience is required.
