Substitute Teacher K-12

Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Substitute Teachers to join our educational team. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive learning environment for students in the absence of their regular classroom teacher. You will be responsible for delivering lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring that students continue to engage with their educational materials. This position is ideal for individuals who have a background in education or child development and are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all learners.

Duties

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Engage students in learning activities that promote critical thinking and collaboration.
• Provide support to students with diverse needs, including those with autism and other developmental challenges.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student performance and classroom activities.
• Adapt teaching methods based on the individual needs of students.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.

Qualifications

• Substitute Certificate for the State of Missouri
• Experience in early childhood education or tutoring is preferred.
• Familiarity with preschool education principles and practices is a plus.
• Strong understanding of childhood development theories and practices.
• Ability to educate students across various subjects, including math.
• Experience working with children in a classroom setting is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan lessons effectively.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all learners.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $110.00 per day

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
