Operations Analyst

Job Summary

IWS (Interstate Waste Services) in Danbury, CT is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Operations Analyst to join our team. Working directly with our Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency by leveraging data analysis and business intelligence tools. This position requires a strong background in analytics, business analysis, and familiarity with various software tools to support sales and operational strategies.

A hungry, can-do attitude, strong background with using Excel, strong communications skills, and experience with route cause analysis is needed. A background in business, accounting or finance is ideal for this position. This job is a pipeline for potential growth within the company!!

Full time 1st shift from Monday thru Friday from 8AM to 5PM. Some variation of hours depending on need. Starting salary is $75,000 to $85,000 per year.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive business analysis to identify trends and insights that drive operational improvements.
• Utilize Salesforce to manage data related to sales processes and customer interactions.
• Analyze large datasets using various software to generate actionable reports for stakeholders.
• Create visual representations of data using Power Point software to facilitate understanding of complex information.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast sales trends and develop strategic initiatives.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates on operational performance.
• Assist in the development of business intelligence tools that support decision-making processes.
• Being comfortable in and out of waste and recycling trucks and pairing tablets, etc. with drivers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field or at least 2 years' experience in this particular job field.
• Proven experience in business analysis and analytics within an operational environment.
• Experience with analyzing graphs, chart, grids, and numbers.
• Proficiency in Salesforce, high level of Excel (run pivot tables, extracting data) and Power Point is absolutely necessary.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with forecasting methods and business intelligence practices is a plus.
