Overview
We are seeking an assistant Child Care Teacher to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will have 6 months of experience with small children and a reliable and dependable work history. We will train the right candidate with no experience. The assistant Child Care Teacher role is responsible for fostering a safe, engaging, and healthy atmosphere for children, and works side by side with the lead teacher. This role requires a high school diploma, a background check and a strong work ethic.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher with implementing prepared lesson plans.
- Create a warm and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Provide individualized attention to each child, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
- Engage children in hands-on activities that enhance their cognitive, social, and emotional skills.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, healthy and safe environment.
- Use Conscious Discipline techniques
- Track children's meals, progress and developmental milestones.
Experience
- Previous experience in a childcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Conscious Discipline is beneficial.
- First Aid and CPR certifications and knowledge of Universal Precautions is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
