Guest Service Agent
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Guest Services Agent to join our team at our boutique hotel and vacation rental agency. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, customer service, and a dynamic work environment. In addition to handling traditional front desk duties, this position includes managing reservations for the hotel and for a diverse portfolio of furnished short-term and 30-night-plus vacation rental properties. With multiple properties to coordinate, there are varied tasks to handle, creating a dynamic, fast-paced, and rewarding environment. Additionally, this role includes light food service and administrative support.
Primary Responsibilities:Guest Services & Front Desk
- Provide warm and professional customer service to all hotel guests, ensuring a welcoming experience.
- Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently, offering information about the property and local area.
- Answer guest inquiries via phone, email, and in person, addressing concerns and special requests.
- Prepare and serve coffee and scones for the complimentary breakfast service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the front desk, common areas, and guest lounge.
- Help coordinate hotel and short-term rental reservations using online booking platforms.
- Assist guests with modifications, cancellations, and availability inquiries.
- Help coordinate with the housekeeping team to ensure rooms and homes are guest-ready.
Administrative & Technology Support
- Utilize Google Drive, Docs, and Spreadsheets for reporting, and internal communications.
- Learn and navigate online reservation platforms to manage bookings, availability, and guest communications.
- Assist with basic social media management, including updating listings, responding to guest inquiries, and engaging with potential guests.
- Support various hotel and rental projects, such as updating property information, organizing files, and coordinating marketing efforts.
General Hospitality & Team Support
- Assist with light office organization and back-office tasks as needed.
- Provide occasional support for property-related projects, ensuring smooth operations.
- Work collaboratively with the hotel team to maintain a seamless guest experience.
- Evening and weekend shifts are required as part of the hospitality industry, and applicants should be comfortable with a flexible schedule to meet guest and business needs.
