Overview
Lodging Manager AssistantWe are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Lodging Manager Assistant to join our boutique hotel and vacation rental agency. This role blends guest services, reservations management, and hotel presentation. You’ll assist in coordinating front desk operations, short-term and extended-stay rentals. With multiple properties to coordinate, the role offers varied tasks in a fast-paced, rewarding environment including light food service, administrative support and a creative eye for detail. Ideal for someone with hospitality experience, strong customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services & Front Desk
- Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm and professional experience.
- Oversee check-ins and check-outs, assisting guests with inquiries and special requests.
- Monitor hotel occupancy, reservations, and availability through booking platforms.
- Respond to guest communications via phone, email, and in person, providing timely and thoughtful assistance.
- Prepare and serve the complimentary coffee and scones breakfast for guests in the morning.
Presentation Oversight
- Ensure the hotel lobby, exterior, and common areas are always inviting, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged.
- Oversee guest room presentation to ensure consistency in cleanliness, decor, and welcoming touches.
- Ensure breakfast presentation is visually appealing and well-stocked.
- Keep an eye on small details that make a big difference—lighting, signage, guest materials, and overall ambiance.
Operations & Digital Engagement
- Assist with website updates, social media, and online guest engagement, helping to showcase the hotel’s unique charm.
- Handle basic troubleshooting for guest concerns, working with maintenance and management as needed.
- Maintain organization at the front desk and assist with administrative tasks to support hotel operations.
What We’re Looking For:
- 1-2 years of hospitality experience or customer service in a hotel, vacation rental, or similar industry.
- Creativity and a strong eye for presentation, ensuring the hotel always looks its best.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with websites, social media, and online booking systems.
- A solutions-focused mindset with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a knack for multitasking.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and team members.
