Position Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Manager manages the Patient Financial Services (PFS) department using knowledge of accounting principles to set standards for ensuring patient accounts are appropriately processed. Audits and monitors the staff assigned processes that include but are not limited to Patient Access, Pre-billing, Billing, Follow-up, Collection, Cash Receipts, Customer Service, and support staff. Acts as a resource person for the staff in order to resolve problem areas and interpret contractual language. Ensures maintenance of patient accounts and the daily updates into the computerized claims transmission files. Coaches PFS team to perform according to Quality Control Procedures.
Oversee posting of payments and establishing banking process following Oak Valley Hospital District (OVHD) procedures. Immediately alerts Chief Financial Officer to problem areas. This position ensures the registration process is accurate and timely. This will be accomplished by the direction and review of daily operations of all Patient Admitting/Registration areas and Supervisors of those areas. Demonstrates accountability for standardized Registration Policies and Procedures. Monitors professional, ethical and legal standards.

Job Requirements
- Proficient in Accounting Principles.
- Thorough understanding of HCFA 1500 and UB-92 billing required.
- Basic understanding of CPT and ICD-9 coding preferred.
- Basic knowledge of governmental and managed care programs billing requirements necessary.
- Medical terminology.
- College degree preferred, High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ computerized medical billing or related experience required; including knowledge of accounts receivable, and credit/collections processing; experience in health care setting preferred.
- One (1) year prior supervisory experience required.
- Meditech preferred, and computer system processing required.
- Recent experience with hospital contract language; ability to read and process technical information.
- PC literate, typing (50 wpm); ability to word process using various software programs.
- Speaks, reads, and write English fluently. Able to record information accurately in English.
- Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Exempt Salaried position pay range: $95,000-110,000 per year
