Created to provide residents of Oakdale and the surrounding rural communities with access to superior quality medical information, treatment and care, Oak Valley Hospital District was formed in 1968 and has evolved to meet the changing medical needs of the local community. With a hospital and emergency department, skilled nursing facility, four healthcare clinics, occupational healthcare clinic, and an ambulance company, OVHD is well equipped to care for our incredible community.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for the operation and management of Nutrition and Food Services.
  • Provides quality food services for patient residents, staff and guests.
  • Provides quality nutritional care services for patients / residents, outpatients and the community.
  • Develops and implements related policies and procedures.
  • Communicates with other members of the Health Care Team.

Job Requirements : Minimum Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Food Science, Human Nutrition, Dietetics or Public Health from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum Experience / Skills :

  • Eligible for active membership in the American Dietetic Association.
  • Maintains all requirements established by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Experience in quantity food service management and supervision.
  • Experience in clinical dietetics.
  • Communicates effectively in verbal and written English, including composing letters, preparing reports or producing original documents in proper grammatical form.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Licenses / Certificates / Credentials :

  • Active Registered Dietitian (R.D.) status.
  • Exempt Salaried position pay range : $95,000-114,000 per year.
