Oak Valley Hospital District is currently seeking a dynamic Patient Financial Services Representative I – Customer Service for our Patient Financial Services department who will embrace our mission, vision, and values. A customer service representative serves as the initial point of contact for patients, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues and ensuring satisfaction. Responding to customer service questions and concerns through phone, email and in person interaction. Performs a variety of complex clerical tasks to audit and collect patient accounts. Sends statements, investigates, and maintains records and reports on delinquencies, maintains contact with third party payors, institutes collection process, and meets with patients about billing questions. Prepares accounts for assignments and/or establishes payment plans for delinquent accounts. Answers incoming high volume of phone calls.

Job Requirements
- Basic knowledge of government programs as well as other types of insurance including
- Indemnity, HMO, PPO, etc.
- Medical terminology
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Two (2) years customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work directly with patients on the telephone and in person to assist in the collection of patient account balances.
- Meditech and/or computer system processing preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- PC literate, typing, data entry, 10-key PC skills preferred.
- Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
