Overview
The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Office Manager, as well as to the General Manager. Administrative duties may include, but are not limited to, assisting with payroll, assisting with A/P and A/R responsibilities, assuring compliance in hourly employee personnel files, filing, and general clerical duties.
The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event-driven schedule which includes evenings and weekends. Open availability, professional presentation, interpersonal skills, self-direction and independent decision-making skills are required.
In light of the seasonal and event-driven nature of our business, the position will run from now until April 4th.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $18 to $20.
For PT roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.
This position will remain open until April 11, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic payroll support including - assisting with payroll, timekeeping, tip distribution
- Provide basic accounting support - including A/P, A/R, coding invoices
- Provide general office and clerical support including - copying, filing, creating/hanging signs, telephone inquiries
- Provide basic employee support including - answering employee inquiries, assist with new hire orientation, maintain employee training logs, employee check in, paycheck distribution
- Relay any accounting, HR, employee relations, safety, policy or procedural concerns and any situation that may result in disciplinary action, to management in a timely and responsible manner
- Anything else as requested by the Office Manager or General Manager
Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency with computers in a Windows platform including Microsoft applications
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including printer, copier, computer and fax machine
- Consistent and reliable attention to detail, accuracy and validity
- Strong written and oral communications - ability to speak and write clearly and concisely, get messages across that have the desired effect
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment. Must work well under pressure of deadlines
- Ability to successfully interact and collaborate all team members professionally and supportively
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to adhere to highest standards of ethics, integrity, professionalism, and discretion
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours (i.e. evenings, weekends, holidays), as frequently required by event or business necessity
