Overview
The AV Technician is responsible for the setup, strike, operation, and maintenance of AV equipment. This role requires technical expertise, customer service skills, and attention to detail. This position is for the Lexington Sporting Club and Central Bank Center.
This role pays an hourly wage of $20 to $24.

This position will remain open until May 2, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Install and operate a variety of AV equipment including projectors, microphones, speakers, video, monitors, cameras, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards
- Conduct routine maintenance on AV equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and is ready for use
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AV systems
- Assist in the planning and setup of AV equipment for various events
- Work closely with clients, event managers, and team members to understand AV needs and provide solutions that meet these requirements
- Maintain and inventory AV equipment
- Stay updated with the latest AV technologies and trends
- Ensure all AV setups comply with safety standards and regulations
- Assist in the installation of new equipment throughout the facility
- Work side by side with third party AV vendors
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in AV Technology, IT Technology, Broadcast Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience as an AV technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of AV equipment and software, including troubleshooting and repair techniques
- Basic understanding of networking and TCP/IP as it pertains to AV
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and work at heights when necessary
- Basic understanding of electricity and single/ 3 phase connections
