Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of all Starbucks retail stores. Must maintain all corporate guidelines and requirements as set forth by each individual brand and concession operations in McCormick Place Convention Center.
This role will pay an annual salary of $60,000.00-$75,000.00.

This position will remain open until July 4, 2025.

McCormick Place located in Downtown Chicago is the largest and most flexible convention center in North America., With over 2.6 million square feet of exhibition space, the campus proudly hosts some of the world’s largest and most prestigious conventions, meetings, and trade shows, welcoming approximately 3 million visitors to Chicago every year.
Responsibilities
- Undergo all training required by each individual branded concept to manage these units.
- Train employees to meet expectations of all branded corporate requirements inclusive of promoting the culture, value and missions of the outlet and OVG.
- Maintain all reporting requirements as required by each branded concept.
- Supervise and coach concessions employees in delivering “first class” customer service while anticipating the customer and store needs by evaluating the environment and customer cues.
- Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to internal/external staff.
- Able to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual, events to ensure the outlet operates to standard while setting a positive example during all shifts.
- Direct storage, preparation, and serving of refreshments by staff at refreshment stand or circulating throughout audience.
- Inventory par levels on hand at beginning/end of each day or other designated periods.
- Work within guidelines for food and labor costs.
- Oversee the opening (set-up) and closing duties of branded locations.
- Work with electricians and telecoms for portable locations.
- Input of daily reconciliation of all locations.
- Assist with the development of work plans, show floor set-ups, including scheduling and ordering; assigns appropriate duties to subordinates; makes hiring decisions and administers employee disciplinary documentation.
- Inspects food service facilities to ensure equipment and building meet state, local health laws and internal regulations.
- Inspects and samples prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in food & Beverage Management or related field desired.
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in management level position in Food & Beverage or equivalent training experience.
- Certification in Food Service Sanitation/Serv-Safe Certified.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Prior experience in a Union environment.
- Computer literate (i.e. Word, Excel, Micros).
- Must be flexible, have a sense of urgency, be able to respond quickly and resourcefully to internal and external issues.
