We're looking for a skilled Event Support Staff member to join our team at Oak View Group. This individual will provide exceptional hospitality to our guests in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and maintain knowledge of menu offerings and special items.
- Deliver prompt and courteous service to banquet guests, ensuring clear communication with all customers.
- Ensure food items are presented correctly and served promptly upon availability from the kitchen, as ordered by the customer.
- Present all ordered items neatly, avoiding any spills.
- Pre-bus and full bus tables when necessary during peak periods.
- Be flexible and available to work during many peak periods.
- Restock beverage stations when necessary (ice, juices, glassware, sugar packets, etc).
- Respond promptly to customer requests and desires.
- Conduct oneself professionally and maintain a clean appearance.
- Effectively communicate with wait staff, bus persons, bartenders, supervisors, and kitchen staff to enhance communication and coordination, resulting in an impressive dining experience for our patrons.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of bar offerings to address patron inquiries accurately.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is highly valued.
- A High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent food service experience is required.
- A valid Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and additional mandatory compliance training must be obtained and maintained.
- Ability to function in a team-oriented, dynamic, and event-driven environment.
- Effective communication skills with colleagues, management, and guests are crucial in fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
