At Oak View Group, we offer an exciting opportunity for a skilled Food Preparation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing menu items in a fast-paced event-day concession stand environment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure. They must also possess valid food handling certification and be able to speak, read, and write in English.
Salary: $18.50-$25.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Cook and package food products according to order or keep warm until sold.
- Receive verbal orders from front counter staff for food product requirements.
- Maintain quality and production standards on all menu items.
- Ensure portion control and serving temperatures of all products served.
- Responsible for cleaning, stocking, and restocking of workstations and displays.
- Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, and ovens.
- Ensure all work areas and equipment are clean, food products are properly stored, utensils are clean and put away, and the floor is swept and mopped at end of shift.
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear and respectful manner.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.
