Position Summary
Participate in the Mobile Convention Center's physical cleaning, sweeping, scrubbing and mopping; set-up and tear-down of equipment and furniture.
This role pays an hourly rate of $12.00-$13.00. Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until June 20, 2025.Responsibilities
- Performs custodial tasks including: sweeping, mopping, cleaning and scrubbing as well as exterior cleaning of terrace, steps, parking garage, sidewalks and plaza as assigned
- Prepares facilities for shows including setting chairs, stages, tables and counters as assigned
- Cleans interior and exterior glass
- Uses equipment as required upon completion of training
- Cleans and prepares floors, carpets, restrooms and other areas as necessary
- Cleans and polishes furniture
- Disposes of all waste, including bulk trash removal from hall and participates in recycling program as require
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience in a service related field preferred
- Flexibility to work required hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Physical ability to perform the duties required of this position including operation of cleaning equipment
- Lift, set and move equipment including all tables, chairs, easels, risers, staging and related items
- Ability to operate two-way radio equipment
