Overview
The OVG360, a, division of OVG has an exciting opening for a part-time position on the campus of Arizona State University for the new 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena and community ice rink. The new arena is scheduled to open in fall 2022 and will be home to ASU Sun Devil Men’s Ice Hockey, ASU Wrestling and Women’s Gymnastics programs, an NHL franchise, as well as a variety of events, including concerts, family shows, comedy, and other live events. The new community ice rink will serve as a public venue to the community and will host hockey and skating programming, youth competitions, educational opportunities, and more.
The position reports directly to the Operations Manager, and will provide support to the Operations Department in regards to event set up, changeovers and daily operational tasks including Ice Maintenance.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $18.00.

Responsibilities
- Assist with event setup, chair sets and chair strikes, conversions and Ice Maintenance.
- Assist Operations and Event Managers on Event/Operations related information
- Compliance with well-established maintenance systems for all facility vehicles, equipment and tools.
- Provide the maintenance for solid, safe and clean ice surfaces.
- Use the ice edger
- Provides support for community rink programming and special events; to include but not limited to, public skating and private events.
- Provide a clean and attractive environment encompassing a variety of janitorial duties.
- Makes quick, accurate observation and exercises sound judgment. Must be willing and able to take decisive action in a variety of circumstances, including emergency situations.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s/Technical degree from an accredited college/university/school preferred)

- Experience in an arena, stadium, convention center or other multi-purpose public assembly facility preferred
Skills:
- Written/Oral communications - ability to speak and write clearly and concisely, get messages across that have the desired effect
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required.
- Frequent bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.
