Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic swim instructors and lifeguards for the upcoming summer. We are a local outdoor pool in Lakewood. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques and safety skills to individuals of all ages and skill levels. This role requires a passion for swimming, strong communication skills, and the ability to create a positive learning environment. The Swim Instructor will also ensure the safety of all participants in and around the pool area.
Duties
- Conduct swimming lessons for various age groups, from beginners to advanced swimmers.
- Develop individualized lesson plans tailored to each student’s skill level and goals.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their swimming abilities.
- Ensure a safe swimming environment by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
- Perform first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations.
- Assist with pool maintenance tasks, including cleaning and ensuring water quality standards are met.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing any questions or concerns from participants or their families.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to promote swim programs and events.
Experience
- Previous experience as a swim instructor or lifeguard is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and safety practices.
- For lifeguard positions, current lifeguard certification ( please contact for an upcoming opportunity to obtain certification).
- Experience with pool cleaning and maintenance is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on guest services.
