POSITION SUMMARY: Under direction, is responsible for aspects related to the Shipping of custom and semi-custom cabinetry. Performing various tasks with the knowledge and use of appropriate tools, schedules and equipment. Using great attention to detail, shipping time frame by assisting delivery drivers and others. Performs essential functions and responsibilities in support of the company's quality and safety goals; and performs related duties as required.
Helping the Delivery Driver with loading and unloading cabinets as instructed.
Use of 2 wheel dolly and ability to lift 50 pounds
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinates and performs required functions consistent with quality, efficiency and completion schedules in line with company’s goals and objectives.
2. Understands the documents and procedures required to perform responsibilities accurately.
3. Maintains open and constant communication with supervisor to report issues and if expected shipping time frames will not be met.
4. Utilizes knowledge, skills, training, and information to achieve peak performance, continuous improvement, and maintains a positive, productive work environment consistent with company’s goals and objectives.
5. Responsible for ensuring all safety procedures are properly followed, striving for a goal of no accidents or injuries per calendar year. This responsibility includes identifying and reporting all observed safety violations of individuals in the production area either working, waiting or walking through.
6. With appropriate training, responsible for and able to complete the following tasks:
a. Assisting the delivery driver, moving cabinets to staging area from inventory and to verify order accuracy by viewing order sticker and verifying:
i. Order number;
ii. Contents of boxes, i.e., BS 33 = Base cabinet, W 32 = Wall cabinet by line order; and
iii. Customer name
b. Load delivery truck as instructed at facility and unload the same cabinets at the job site. Ensuring the correct cabinets are delivered to the correct customer.
c. Assisting driver in the use of GPS and directions as needed.
d. Acts as backup to Shipping Technician II as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.75 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- 8 hour shift
