About us: We are a small, family owned-and-operated provider of Adult Foster Care in Sauk Rapids and Rice. The owner is a retired Physician Assistant who understands the importance of work/life balance in the hectic field of healthcare. We provide care to adults with disabilities in a group home/residential setting. We currently have 3 beautiful homes in safe neighborhoods - one which is located on the lake! The RN will be responsible for cares for a small number of residents (around 5), most of whom are very low level needs and all of whom are low behaviors. We are looking for a caring, experienced RN to help provide high quality care to our residents and provide direct staff supervision and training. This position is ideal for an RN looking for a long-term career with a slower pace within a small and caring company.
Job Description
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, directs clinical supervision and is responsible for training, monitoring residents care. Position reports to the Executive Director.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for delegating, monitoring and delivering resident care
- Develop and plan for the delivery of overall program curriculum and services. Define the program goals and objectives to achieve the highest level of success possible to service recipients.
- Monitor and evaluate the program operations and identify and implement changes to accommodate client needs, staff needs, building needs, and the effectiveness of services.
- Provide RN cares to residents
- Collaborate with Executive Director on audits and compliance related tasks.
- Recommend/ develop additional training for departmental staff. Provide guidance and direction to staff in difficult situations. Conduct staff meetings in coordination with site supervisors to identify program issues, staff concerns, new ideas, etc.
- Effectively and professionally communicates with all members of the treatment team, service recipient and families and other outside professionals.
- Advocate for client’s rights.
- Develop new services as requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to build and maintain team
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Clean driving record (No DUI’s in the past 5 years)
- Must be able to pass a Department of Human Services background check and fingerprints
- Ability to read, write and speak fluent English
