Director of Food Services

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Director to lead our food service team and oversee all aspects of food service operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences. This role is essential in ensuring that our dietary department meets the nutritional needs of our students, staff, and guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety in a boarding school setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily food service operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
• Manage and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their culinary skills and efficiency.
• Prepare meals as needed to maintain consistency in operations.
• Coordinate menu planning and food production to meet expectations.
• Implement effective shift management strategies to optimize workflow and staff performance.
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage budgetary constraints within the food service department.
• Conduct regular training sessions on food safety practices and culinary techniques for staff development.

Experience

• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.
• Experience in culinary arts with a focus on menu development and banquet services is not required, but beneficial.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks..
• Professional and positive approach in working with students and adults.
