POSITION SUMMARY:
The Rural Health Clinic Director has primary responsibility for all aspects of the daily operations and general management of the Rural Health Clinics. Responsible for strategic planning, coordination of daily operations, and supervision of nursing, clerical, and central business office staff to ensure delivery of quality patient care. Requires collaborating with other management personnel to allocate and assign duties to employees and monitor activities and operations of all the practice(s) components to ensure the practice(s) meet all objectives and budgetary targets. Assumes the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability of directing the activities and practices in the market. Oversee clinical and patient care policies with involvement of respective providers. Maintains an appropriate public relations program that serves the best interest of the practices and community. Consults with each Rural Health Clinic daily concerning the operations of the Clinic to assist in eliminating/correcting problem areas and/or improvement of services. Requires involvement with financial aspects of the practices, to include, assisting with projections, month-end close processes, special analyses and projects, and budgeting. Cognizant & competent in facility policies, procedures, Federal and Louisiana State regulations and standards as they relate to Rural Health Clinics. Works closely with the Clinic Manager(s) in defining goals and developing in a long-term plan for the practices. Serves as a liaison between the hospital and the clinic. Communicates effectively and works with the biller and/or third party billing company to ensure timely collections.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
- 4-year college degree or extensive Rural Health Clinic (RHC) experience
- Three or more years in a healthcare position (preferred)
- Understanding of medical practice operations and regulations
- LPN or RN background a plus
- Two years of physician medical billing/coding preferred
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Special Qualifications: BLS/CPR Certification required within 90 days of hire and maintained by recommended renewal date thereafter
