What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist - prn position at Oakdale Community Hospital?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Each phlebotomist, under general supervision, is responsible for collection, transportation, processing, and aliquoting of specimens, limited testing procedures and computer data entry. Specimens collected and/or handled by phlebotomists include blood and body fluids.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: On-the-job training/work experience.
Education: High School Diploma or GED. Completion of a Phlebotomy Training Program/School or equivalent preferred
Special Qualifications: Phlebotomy Certification. At least 3 years of experience if “on the job trained” at a accredited medical facility. LA State Board of Medical Examiner’s Lab Assistant License (if applicable to duties).
