Oakden Enterprises is a solid local landscape company with a foundation in landscape design services, rock/retaining walls, grading and water mitigation, hardscapes and water features. In addition, we keep regular lawn maintenance accounts, plus so much more.

This Landscape Technician position calls for an individual that enjoys physically demanding outdoor work. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our clients' properties. We are a company that values hard work, dedication, and a keen eye for detail. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure our landscapes are always at their best.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform residential landscape maintenance services such as weeding, shrub/tree trimming, leaf / pine needle clean-up, refresh of mulch and rock beds, mowing, edging, and other lawn services.
• Perform other landscape project tasks, sprinkler maintenance tasks, snow clearing activities, handyman tasks, and other general labor as needed.
• Safely and efficiently use a variety of powered and non-powered tools and equipment
• Organize truck, trailer, and equipment, ensuring all needed equipment and supplies are operational and on hand every day
• Log work hours and billable project time accurately via smart phone.

Position Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have driver’s license and RELIABLE transportation to and from jobs each day.
• Must be physically able to perform continuous labor outdoors in various and often adverse weather conditions involving pushing/holding/driving/operating power equipment, hand tools, and wheelbarrows and also often involving walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, lifting, shoveling, raking, etc.
• Must be able to lift 100 lbs repetitively
• Must have solid time management skills
• Experience with landscape installation/renovation, sprinkler/irrigation repair/installation, handyman projects, and/or snow plowing is a plus

Position Schedule:

• Requires availability for at least the core season May-November
• Target of 40 work hours most weeks of the core season
• Must be available to work generally in the 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. window Monday through Friday (up to a full maximum 40 hours for the week, unless additional hours are mutually agreed upon)
• Saturdays may be required when issues such as weather create significant delays to the project, or when there is a need for snow clearing
• Sundays are designated for personal and family time.
