Description:
The Oakland Athletics are currently seeking a Part-time Bullpen Catcher at the Lew Wolff Training Complex in Mesa, Arizona. This position will be responsible for catching bullpens and supporting pitchers with rehabilitation.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the bullpen catcher for the complex, warming up pitchers during practices and bullpen sessions.
- Ensure a positive and professional approach when communicating with players, coaches, and other staff.
- Collaborate closely with coaching staff on daily activities, schedules, and reporting times.
- Follow all team guidelines, protocols, and rules set by the league.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Ability to bring a positive attitude to the ballpark each day, with a mindset committed to serving the needs of the team.
- High level baseball catching experience, ideally in college or professional baseball.
- Ability to catch multiple bullpens daily.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the minor league baseball schedule.
- Must be local to the greater Mesa, AZ area (no housing or mileage reimbursements).
