General Summary
Performs therapeutic counseling for youth residing at Children's Village. Acts as a team member with other professional staff by providing input and planning treatment services. Conducts individual, group and family therapy sessions for youth and parents in conjunction with treatment plans. Conducts psychological testing as needed. Interprets psychometric and/or projective tests for youth and parents. Testifies in court regarding treatment provided and offers recommendations. Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.Required Minimum Qualifications

Special Requirements
Must maintain a valid United States motor vehicle operator’s or chauffeur’s license.
Must maintain a temporary limited license as a Psychologist, or limited license as a Social Worker, or Professional Counselor from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
Must submit to immunizations as requested by the Department of Health & Human Services and to periodic tuberculin skin tests or chest X-rays at County expense.
Before beginning employment, candidates will be required to provide Children’s Village with documentation from the Michigan Department of Human Services that they have not been named in a central registry case as the perpetrator of child abuse or child neglect. In addition, applicants being considered for hire will be asked to sign a form authorizing Children’s Village to request and receive a criminal history check in accordance with the privacy act of 1974.
