General Summary :
Researches, analyzes, and evaluates highly sensitive information, such as raw information or tips, to determine source reliability, content validity, and potential truthfulness to further an investigation and monitor criminal activity. Acts as a liaison with internal and external groups to offer assistance in determining significance of tips related to crimes. Prepares reports of intelligence information and statistics to support intelligence activities and projects. Follows established policies and procedures, local, state, and federal regulations, and criminal intelligence systems operating policies. May require frequent travel to the Michigan Intelligence Operations Center (Lansing, MI) for training purposes. May require travel throughout the State of Michigan and outside of the state. Utilizes current Countywide and / or department specific software to complete assignments.
Required Minimum Qualifications :
At the time of application, applicants must :
- Possess a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Criminal Justice, Public Administration or related field of study;
- b. Have had at least one (1) year of full-time work experience with a criminal justice, military or government intelligence agency or criminal intelligence network organization or in a business or financial setting compiling data, analyzing findings, and writing reports that indicate relationships between various parties;
- a. Possess an Associates degree or equivalent education from an accredited college or university with a major in Criminal Justice, Public Administration or related field of study;
- b. Have had at least three (3) years of full-time work experience with a criminal justice, military or government intelligence agency or criminal intelligence network organization or in a business or financial setting compiling data, analyzing findings, and writing reports that indicate relationships between various parties;
- a. Have graduated from high school or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development Test;
b. Have had at least five (5) years of full-time work experience with a criminal justice, military or government intelligence agency or criminal intelligence network organization or in a business or financial setting compiling data, analyzing findings, and writing reports that indicate relationships between various parties.

USD $56,393.00 - USD $75,556.00 / Yr.
