Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. The FNP will provide comprehensive care to patients across various age groups, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of primary care principles and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a Level II Trauma Center environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and assessments of patients to determine health status and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address patient-specific health concerns.
- Manage acute pain effectively, utilizing appropriate interventions and follow-up care.
- Provide case management services to ensure continuity of care for patients with complex health issues.
- Perform basic life support measures as required in emergency situations.
- Utilize medical imaging and sonography techniques as part of the diagnostic process.
- Offer family planning services, counseling, and education to patients regarding reproductive health.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in internal medicine to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Skills
- Proficient in primary care practices with a focus on preventive health measures.
- Strong knowledge of case management principles and practices.
- Experience in acute pain management techniques and protocols.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations effectively, including physical examinations and lab tests.
- Familiarity with sonography procedures and medical imaging technologies.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients about their health conditions and treatment options.
