Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and patients.
- Review and verify patient information and insurance coverage.
- Utilize coding systems such as ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG for accurate claim submissions.
- Maintain detailed records of all billing transactions and communications.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation for billing purposes.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
- Handle medical collections as necessary while maintaining professionalism.
Requirements
