SPECIFICS
- Ten - month position
- Not to Exceed 35 Hours Per Week (Monday through Friday, when students are in attendance)
- Located at Webb Elementary School
- Level IV Salary Schedule $16.00 / hour
- Work schedule will be normal schedule as provided for in the Master Agreement
QUALIFICATIONS
Shall have high school diploma or equivalentApplicants should have experience and rate high in the following areas :Will have successfully passed the WorkKeys Assessment (per NCLB Guidelines), prior to July 10, 2017; or have successfully passed the ETS Assessment, which replaced the WorkKeys Assessment on July 10, 2017 (per NCLB Guidelines), or have completed 2 years of college, official transcripts must be provided within fifteen days of being award the position. You must have the support documentation available to apply for this position.
Good communication skillsAbility to follow an individualized behavioral plan, under the teacher / psychologist directionGood attendance record is expectedCertified in the C.P.I. training and the ability to implement all stages of the training, including the restraint portion of Crisis Prevention, OR, willingness to take the training and implement proceduresWork under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacherAbility to communicate with teachers, pupils, parents, and the public in a professional, friendly mannerAbility and willingness to deal with challenging behaviors under the direction of the teacher with poise and professionalismMaintain confidentiality of work related informationAbility to work with a diverse group of students with CI, implementing individualized behavioral plansAbility to be flexible and take on a variety of assignments within the classroom and the buildingAbility to understand that each student may work under an individualized plan that matches the student's learning levelKnowledge of CI and experience and / or training in working with students with CI is preferredDUTIES
Maintain the confidentiality of all student, staff, and administrative correspondencePerform all assigned tasks in a prompt and professional mannerIn the absence of immediate administrative direction, act in the best interests of students and the school district. Deal with teachers, pupils, parents and the public in a friendly manner using interest and poisePerform other duties and assignments as may be directed by administrator, or assigned professional staff memberWork with other staff in following Non-Violent Crisis Intervention ProceduresProvide supervision as directed by the supervising teacherAdditional tasks as assigned by the supervising teacher, or administrator
