QUALIFICATIONS :
The ideal candidate will :
- Possess a valid Michigan teaching certificate
- Demonstrated coursework and / or specific experience necessary for posted assignment
- Able to plan for and deliver effective instruction, manage student behavior and classroom environment, assess productively, and self-reflect on instructional effectiveness
- Demonstrate evidence of recent coursework and / or in-service activities directed toward improving professional competence
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Under the direction of the Kindergarten Teacher, this course is student-oriented with a focus on reading & writing literacy, mathematics, science and social studies. The goal of the Kindergarten Program is to meet the academic and social development of students. The Kindergarten Teacher will design instruction to meet the needs of a wide range of learners by the end of the year moving towards achieving the benchmarks designated for the grade level. Instruction supports a diverse population of students as move through the process of becoming independent learners.
