Program Description
This is an INTERNAL opportunity only.
All staff for Summer Learning Programs will report in person to a specific campus location.
This is a voluntary summer position.
Diagnostic Center (Pre-K population)
Nurse reports to Diagnostic Center daily
- Conduct multiple screenings/assessments of Pre-K students, daily
- Interview parents
- Collaborate with health care providers to obtain medical information
- Collaborate with the Diagnostic Team staff
- Make home visits if required and when accompanied by another district staff member
- Submit nurse’s reports
- Attend IEP meetings as requested.
- Submit an electronic spreadsheet of students assessed and their health needs (spreadsheetprepared by Health Services)
- Other duties as assigned in the Diagnostic Center
Please note that selected candidates will be assigned based on program needs. Selected candidates are expected to commit to the program for the duration of the assignment. Offer and continuation of employment is dependent upon level of student enrollment and attendance. Notice of employment will be sent to the selected candidates. Qualified personnel from within the district will be considered for placement. Should qualified personnel not be available, the district may accept candidates from outside the district. Per OEA contract Article 23.3.3.3, unit members will not be selected for more than two consecutive years. Should no qualified applicants apply, unit members may serve for more than two consecutive years.
