What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Parker - Part Time (Day Shift) position at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort?

Responsible for monitoring, directing, and controlling the designated parking lots for guest parking.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide positive customer experiences by consistently providing excellent service
- Patrol assigned parking lot to monitor cars and contents and ensure that only authorized persons are on the lot
- Ensure vehicles are safely and legally parked
- Direct traffic in and out of the parking lot
- Provide information about available Oaklawn parking lots
- Monitor the parking/drive up area to keep the flow of vehicles organized
- Report any suspicious acts to supervisor
- Write reports of any unusual activities or incidents
- Follow assigned work schedule
- Attend all scheduled meetings called by supervisors
- Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned
- Punctual attendance required
- Ability to work required overtime.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - High school graduate or GED preferred
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
- Able to quickly adapt to changing conditions
- Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
- Ability to maintain a calm, professional and friendly demeanor in all situations
- Able to adhere to and deliver Oaklawn's Core Values
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to use hand held 2-way radio in a professional manner
- Able to work outdoors for 90% or more of shift
- Able to work in varied weather conditions
- Must be able to stand, stoop and walk for long periods of time
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arkansas Racing License.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Oaklawn Jockey Club.
