What You’ll Do as a Medical Assistant:
The Medical Assistant in Crisis Services will assist with medical stability assessments and deliver care for minor physical health challenges.
Duties:
- Assist in coordinating care.
- Will administer medications, phlebotomy services, precautions monitoring and pain reassessments.
- Will work under the direct supervision of the crisis center RN.
- Is sensitive to the interrelationships of both people and functions in the crisis center.
- May also be required to provide injections, test blood glucose and/or draw blood for lab tests.
- Schedule/Hours after training:
- 12 hour shifts (3 - 4 12 hours shifts)
- Rotating weekends
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED with certification or registration required OR
- Associate of Applied Science degree in medical assisting from a CAAHEP or AMT-accredited program preferred.
- 1-2 years of clinical or community experience preferred.
