- Bachelor-level starting pay $22.34 an hour with $1000 sign-on bonus
- Associate-level starting pay $20.19 an hour with $1000 sign-on bonus

What You’ll Do as a Skills Trainer:
Skills trainers help youth, children and families in our community live healthier and more fulfilling lives through building skills they need to succeed. These skills focus primarily on activities of daily living and social interaction.

Skills trainers help youth, children and families in our community live healthier and more fulfilling lives through building skills they need to succeed. These skills focus primarily on activities of daily living and social interaction.
Primary duties include:
- Identifying needed skills
- Working with adults one-on-one to develop skills such as:
- Identifying and expressing feelings in a positive way
- Developing healthy and fulfilling relationships
- Communicating needs in a healthy manner
- Assisting with organizational skills for home, work and other activities
- Making healthy choices and enhancing problem solving
- Help clients integrate newly learned skills in their lives through supportive practice
- Documenting all services into the electronic record
- Interacting directly with clients, face to face, two or three times a week for one to two hours at a time.
- Interacting frequently with the client’s treatment team including outpatient therapists, physicians, other treatment providers involved, community agencies, referral sources and other services.
- Hours may include availability in the evenings and/or weekends.
- Caseload expectations will take into account training, case complexity, level of frequency and/or other assigned duties.
- Skills trainers can develop specialized treatment options based out of their own passion and interests in conjunction with evidence-based practices.
Minimum Hiring Requirements for Skills Trainers:
- Associate degree and two years of experience in a similar human services job OR
- BA/BS in social service or a human services-related field preferred
- Two years’ experience in a social service setting preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
