Position Highlights :
- Schedule : Work 12-hour shifts on Fridays and Saturdays (variable daytime hours), and on-call for 12 hours on Sundays.
- Status : .6 FTE – part-time.
- Compensation : All hours worked will be paid at time and a half. On-Call hours will be paid at $2.50 per hour. Call back is paid at time and a half.

- Program Commitment : Those hired into the Weekend Cadre Program will make a 12-month commitment to the Program. The Weekend Cadre will commit to working 48 out of 52 weekends per year. One of the four weekends off a year being an OakLeaf Surgical recognized holiday weekend, and the other three out of the four weekends must be a non-holiday weekend.
Job Summary :
The Surgical Technologist is an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing surgical care to patients. Surgical Technologists work under the supervision of a surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Surgical technologists possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician’s performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
