As the Director of Food and Beverage, your schedule will vary based on club operations. Our typical service hours are from 10 AM to 10 PM, and you must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure a seamless dining experience for our members.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR DIRECTOR OF FOOD AND BEVERAGE
As a Director of Food and Beverage, you will lead Oakley Country Club's food and beverage operations, ensuring that every meal and event exceeds member expectations. You will train and mentor the service staff, instilling a culture of excellence and professionalism. Collaborating closely with the culinary team, you will develop menus, oversee special events, and curate an exceptional beverage program that includes fine wines and craft cocktails. Managing the department's finances, including budgeting, purchasing, and inventory, will be a key focus as you optimize efficiency and profitability
Here's what we need from you:
- 3 years of experience in a similar role in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or private club
- Fine dining experience
- Experience managing purchases and inventory
Preferred:
- High level of wine knowledge (WSET or Court of Master Sommeliers preferred)
- Experience in a Forbes 5 Star or similar dining environment
- High fluency in craft cocktails
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience with creating and managing budgets
- Experience in large event management
- High level of knowledge in culinary arts
