POSITION SUMMARY
- Diagnose and repair all aspects of class 8 tractors including but not limited to Volvo, Mack and Peterbilt
- Keep a clean and neat work area
- Continue to keep up to date on tractor repair procedures
- Assist each other with a team attitude
- Work on truck in and out of shop atmosphere (road calls)
- Handle driver concerns with a team attitude
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Diagnose and repair class 8 truck problems
- Diagnose and repair APU problem
- Diagnose and repair Hydraulic problem
- Charge out parts as needed
- Tag parts for warranty and cores as needed
- Write repair stories for warranty and all other repairs
- Operate computer systems
- Operate forklift and other company vehicles
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep work area clean and neat
- Handle driver concerns with a team attitude
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Mechanical skills and/or experience repairing class 8 trucks
- Own tools air and pneumatic
- Able to operate equipment safely in a shop environment
- Computer skills on Diagnoses software
- Lift, pull, push, and carry over 50 lbs.
