Position Summary
Training coordinator will work with Vendors to provide training to our technicians as needed. The Training Coordinator will work with the Shop Management to develop and implement plans for continuous improvement in customer service and employee development. Ensure the quality of the tractors being issued from the Lake Wales terminal

Experience with or aptitude for maintenance scheduling, basic computer operation, and the fundamentals of Volvo tractor, APU, and accessories of tractor. Superior judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills and a proven record of taking the initiative and personal responsibility to use those skills effectively, both individually and as a member of a team. Demonstrated ability to communicate and listen effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. Build a strong sense of urgency, technical teamwork and purpose. Positive attitude toward Oakley Transport and Equipment.

Position Summary

Essential Functions
- Quality Control of tractors to be issued to drivers. Test drive, verify proper electronics and safety functions, inspect for cleanliness, and maintain Oakley Transport Standard of Safe, Reliable, Accurate, Image.
- Complete weekly New Driver Orientation Class, explain workings of our department.
- Document all trainings coordinated by vendors.
- Assist shop managers to coordinate needed training, working with vendors.
- Work with Quality to ensure Maintenance Dept is up to ISO Standards
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and facilitate changes when appropriate.
- Perform audits/policy reviews to ensure ISO documents match our work routines.
- Seek innovative and continuous improvement in our departments. Assist managers in acquiring information for new tools or ways to improve our company.
- Correct ISO audits, to maintain the ISO Standards per our Quality Department.
- Coordinate with tech school programs to help recruit technicians.
- Maintain digital online trainings for further education of technicians.
- Assist management in the completion of tasks in the best interest of Oakley Transport.
