Description:
The role of the Line Cook is to being capable of executing all salad, sandwich, grill, char grill, pan and fry items while meeting presentation and timing standards, assists other in the main kitchen, Splash Café, and Snack Bar and maintain a clean, well-stocked and organized work area.
Essential Functions: Prepare food in accordance with established recipes and standards and directs staff when working in the line, prep and garde manger skills.

Responsibility Detail

  • Present food using proper plate presentation techniques
  • Coordinate completion of menu items with server
  • Prepare all required items
  • Sets up service units with needed items
  • Check and maintain coolers and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity, and quality of food
  • Take proper care of ranges, ovens, broilers, fryers, griddles, utensils, and other equipment
  • Work in a team-oriented environment and under demanding conditions
  • Prepare stocks, soups, cold soups, sauces, etc. for serving
  • Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption
  • Maintain the highest sanitary standards
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by Executive Chef or Sous Chef

Job Qualifications Experience/ Knowledge:

  • Preferably 2-3 years of culinary experience
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills preferred
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • Previous line cook experience in high volume production with breakfast/lunch/dinner menus preferred

License/Qualifications

  • Current Food Handlers permit required
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Must be able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions

Working Conditions

  • Generally working in an indoor setting, but may perform work duties outdoors, on patio or other club grounds
  • May perform basic computer data entry
  • Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to heat/cold from the mechanical equipment. May be exposed heat and cold if working in outdoor areas
  • The noise level in the work environment may be moderate to loud

Schedule:1:00pm-9:30pm ( Must be able to work weekends)
