Description
The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of assigned lodging accommodations. Our onsite lodgings include cottage-style homes along with traditional hotel-style rooms. The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning, stocking, and ensuring the overall appearance of our accommodations consistently meets Oakmont's standards of excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Fully clean and service assigned rooms, bathrooms, or other areas; this may include making/changing beds, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying wastebins, sanitizing all floors and surfaces
- Follows procedures to ensure all rooms pass established inspection standards
- Discard trash
- Stock amenities, as needed
- Ensure service areas are cleaned, stocked, and maintained
- Exercise tact and discretion when dealing with guests and guests property; respect for guest property must be maintained at all times
- Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies by following procedures set forth by Oakmont
- Properly tag articles left in the cottages and turn in to Housekeeping Manager
- Follow departments policies and procedures, to ensure Oakmont's standards of excellence are maintained
- Assist laundry attendants and housekeeping, as needed
- Provide turndown and additional cleaning services
- Report maintenance issues/concerns to supervisor
- Report any safety concerns or hazards to supervisor
- Other duties and special projects, as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills & Abilities:
Ability to take initiative
Ability to follow directions and complete tasks independently
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and desire to exceed expectations
Possess a positive attitude and team-focused mentality
Minimum Requirements:
Lifting/moving up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility throughout each work shift
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill duties
Must be able to operate all necessary equipment
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Must maintain appropriate grooming standards established by Oakmont
