Oakridge Landscape, Inc. is a leading Erosion Control contractor specializing in the storm compliance, installation, and maintenance of construction job sites for both commercial and residential clients. With offices throughout California, including the Central Coast, LA, Ventura, San Bernardino, and the Inland Empire, we are committed to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions to our clients in the erosion control industry.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Erosion Control Business Development professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for scouting and connecting with potential clients, aiming to open new accounts while maintaining strong, ongoing relationships with existing customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, a strong background in sales, and an interest in learning about erosion control practices. You will have the opportunity to get involved in estimating projects and generate leads for upcoming opportunities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Target and acquire new business by identifying and connecting with potential clients
  • Maintain and foster relationships with existing customers, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction
  • Inspect new and existing projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards
  • Process contract documentation and ensure timely project completion
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, issues, and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Stay informed about erosion control best practices and provide knowledgeable answers to client inquiries
  • Travel to multiple locations across California to meet clients and inspect projects

Requirements :

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Follow-up on potential projects and maintain constant communication with customers and company office staff
  • Manage customer requests, concerns, issues, complaints and any issue that may arise during and after the completion of a project
  • Ability to build long term relationships with customer and foster company goodwill
  • Ability to make informed and educated decisions about Erosion Control best practices and to be ready with answers to questions from customers and potential clients
  • Knowledge of Spanish is a plus
  • Experienced in Construction, Erosion Control is preferred.
  • Strong Sales Experience preferred.
  • Strong organization, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team with strong communications skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to drive to multiple locations as needed to meet clients throughout CA
  • A clean driving record is required.
  • Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Valid Driver’s License - Must meet insurance underwriting requirements.
  • Highschool Diploma, and / or bachelor's degree.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Standing periodically throughout the day
  • Travel at least 25% of the time
  • Sitting and standing as needed
  • Walking as needed in order to meet with clients at various locations
  • Repetitive motion, Keyboard data entry, telephone use, driving a vehicle
  • Visually able to read, view computer monitors with or without corrective devices
  • Auditory, able to hear and speak on the phone as required to meet job expectations
