Job Overview
The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for developing and managing successful social media campaigns by promptly creating, scheduling, and executing campaigns and ensuring quality standards are met. This position reports to the Communications Director.
Responsibilities Duties :
- Ensure social media campaigns are executed correctly and in a timely manner by creating and managing content and schedules (E.g., Caption copywriting, graphics, videos, and other media elements).
- Manage and update the social media promo schedule.
- Manage the weekly “skeleton” schedule for recurring social media posts.
- Manage social media accounts for Oaks Church, Oaks Women, Oaks Men, and Pastors Chris and Cara Railey.
- Manage the OC Online FB group, accept / deny new members’ requests, post requests, and other content.
- Manage our partnership with contractors and content creators under the supervision of the Communications Director, ensuring all needed content and captions are requested, revised, completed, and approved according to Communication Plans and social media promo schedules.
- Create, delegate, and conduct social media campaigns for Oaks Church special events.
- Monitor social media posts and ensure all information is accurately communicated and content is up to quality standards and implemented on all social media platforms.
- Follow up with comments and respond promptly to the audience as they engage with posts. (Oaks Church, OC Online FB Group, Oaks Men, and Oaks Women only).
- Manage a Caption Revision Team by organizing a rotation schedule and thoroughly checking captions to ensure they are relevant, innovative, and free from grammatical errors.
- Coordinate the weekend content posting schedule.
- Manage the social media story capture Dream Team by scheduling a rotation for Sunday Services, Wednesday Prayer Meetings, and special events.
- Continuously research for inspiration and ideas for effective social media campaigns and strategies.
- Create and post social media paid ads through the FB Business Suite.
- Design graphics, edit videos / reels, and other social media content needed on the fly.
- Keep proper documentation of procedures, systems, and tasks in this role.
- Work alongside the Communications Director, assisting with overall communications tasks.
- Assist with miscellaneous department duties as requested by the Communications Director.
