As a Behavior Technician, you will provides in-home and community supports to individuals of all ages with developmental/intellectual disabilities and their families located throughout Southern New Jersey.
The program helps families caring for a loved one challenged with communication, social interaction and behavior difficulties. In-home services give families the opportunity to learn together in a safe, supportive environment. The ultimate goal is to improve the quality of life for the entire family and allow individuals to reach their full potential while living in the community.
Schedule: Per diem shifts available. Shifts: morning, afternoon, evening, and/or weekends. Hours are flexible and will vary based on caseload
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one on one care and supervision to youth utilizing Positive Behavior Supports
- Collect, record, and summarize data
- Train/coach youth and their families in daily living skills, behavior management, parenting, socialization, and other identified needs
- Advocate for the children and their families
- Provide input into assessments, case conferences, and treatment plans
- Crisis prevention, recognition, and intervention
- Staff meeting attendance
- Ensure all agency policies implemented and followed
- Complete progress notes within 24 hours of service provision
- Communicate and confirm schedule
- Complete required trainings

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (BA, BS, BSW) in social work, education, psychology, plus 1 year experience with DD/ID population; Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends
- Valid Driver's License required
