As the Program Supervisor, you will oversee our in-home and community based programs for families whose children are placed out of the home.
Oak's in-home and in-community services give children, teens and families living with emotional/behavioral issues or a developmental disability the support needed to improve quality of life at home, school and in the community.
Our Foster FLEX program provides mentoring and respite services to youth living in foster care to stabilize the living situation and promote healthy emotional growth.
Our FLEX Mentoring offers in-community and in-home mentoring (DCPP open case required for mentoring) and 1:1 educational support to youth in southern New Jersey with special emotional needs and their families.
Schedule: Full-time; Monday-Friday; On-call responsibilities as needed
Competencies:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate respect for families; demonstrate an understanding of emotional disturbance; demonstrate a knowledge about the differential characteristics of serious emotional disturbance and the ability to provide appropriate individualized, strength based interventions; demonstrates an understanding of the effects of stressful life events including abuse and/or trauma; ability to identify family support resources and provide advocacy for their use; demonstrates understanding of the principles of collaborative community-based care; communicated understanding of the complexity of issues faced by families of children in placement; good oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all outreach duties for both programs to funding source and all potential referral sources
- Maintain level of service for programs as required by contracts for cost reimbursement programs and achieve level of service goals determined by agency for open purchase contracts Screen and assign referrals as well as ensure provision of contracted services and accuracy of agency queue on AHH
- Maintain wait list for both programs when necessary and communicate status on waiting list with referral source and or consumer for self-referred youth
- Manage all aspects of financial operations for both programs including but not limited to: obtaining current authorizations for services, tracking invoicing and payment for fee-for-service, resolve any and all billing related issues, oversight of spending
- Recruit, hire and train all Foster Flex and Homestretch staff
- Provide individual and group supervision of staff according to agency guidelines
- Manage all aspects of vehicle operations for staff in both programs
- Assist Director with other additional program needs as they arise

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in the mental health field, with two (2) years of experience working with families.
- Valid Driver's License required.
